Car Hunt runs on iPhone with iOS 17.6 or later and is available now on the App Store. There is no Android version at the moment.

No. You can play as a guest with a three-car garage. A free account raises that to twenty-five. Signing in takes a few seconds with Apple, Google or an emailed code.

Each car is scored on power, how many were built, market value and cultural significance. The score decides whether it lands as common, uncommon, rare, epic or legendary.

A special edition of a car, identified from something actually visible — a badge, a factory colour, distinctive wheels or aero. A standard 911 and a GT3 RS are not the same find, and the app knows it.

You can, but it won't help. A car is identified by make, model and paint, so the same one gives you nothing after the first catch. A different colour of the same model does count separately.

Usually, and honestly so. Confidence is shown on every find, low-confidence results are rejected rather than guessed at, and partial cars are turned away. It is a game, not an appraisal — don't buy a car based on it.
